Honestly, if I didn't trust Kleypas as an author I wouldn't have gotten more than 10 pages into this one. Starting with the ghost was boring. However, as I had hoped, it picked up and was a fun read. I'm not sure why, but this is one of my least favorite series from her. Wallflowers and Travises were just so good that it makes this one pale in comparison. It's not a bad a series, it just feels like less in relation to her previous books. I keep trying to judge this series based on it's own merit, but I think some of that slips in from time to time. It doesn't really matter though because I'll keep reading Kleypas.
