1) How is this Wynette, Texas? It takes place in New York, Cali, France, and Austria.2) I don't know what it is with these books, but the feel like they take forever to read. I don't mind the main characters, despite the fact that they aren't always likeable. I feel like I get bogged down the parental background story. It's different, but I could just care less about spending that many pages on how screwed up their parents were. Overall, it's okay. Not for me, but not atrocious either. I have moments where I get really into these books, and moments when I wonder why on earth I'm still reading. However, I have to realize that this was written in the late 1980's and the writing trends were different back then. If I weren't use to romance stories being so light and fluffy, I think I'd get more interested. This is a series I'm going to have to get multiple books to go through back to back since it takes me about 150 pages to readjust to the style.
