2.5 This was an interesting story with a very obvious moral. There were things that I liked about it, but I also felt like there were times when it got bogged down. There were just a few dull moments, or moments where Werlin pushed the moral harder than necessary. It's a great moral, but I didn't want to be hit over the head with it as many times as I was. Maybe I'm just being a grouch. I think it's a good book for kids to read, but I'm not sure if it's eventful enough to keep everyone's attention. The writing reminds me a lot of Unearthly, but it lacks the spark that sucked me into C. Hand's book.
