I really loved Dahl's Tumble Creek series, but I find that Jackson falls short of those expectations. It's average. It's fine to read, but just like book 1, I'll forget about it unless another book in the series comes out. There are good bits that stand out and the epilogue made me happy. I just wish the plots were stronger and more memorable. The book wasn't bad by any means. I just won't be able to tell you happened a month from now. I'll keep reading in hopes that I'll see the spark that drew me to Dahl initially.
